Your dedicated space is situated close to your cabin or apartment, giving you secure, easy access to unload your luggage or pack up for a day of adventure. Best of all, you will never have to worry about finding a spot when returning to camp after a wonderful day of hiking and exploring the Volcano.
Stay effortlessly connected during your mountain retreat with complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the entire Kilauea Military Camp property. Whether you want to share beautiful photos of your volcano hikes with loved ones, stream your favorite shows in the evening, or catch up on important emails, our reliable wireless network ensures you are always just a click away. To get connected, simply ask our friendly front desk team for the Wi-Fi password when you check in.
KMC General Store
The KMC General Store is your one-stop shop for all the essentials and a little something extra during your stay. Conveniently located and open seven days a week, our store offers a wide selection of items to meet your needs:
- Souvenirs: Take home a memory of your visit with our unique selection of local gifts and keepsakes.
- Food & Drinks: Stock up on snacks, beverages, and basic groceries to keep you refreshed and satisfied.
- Toiletries: Forgot something? We carry a variety of personal care items and travel necessities.

Monday – Saturday: 8:00am – 8:00pm
Sunday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
For your convenience, our on-site gas station is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether you’re heading out early for a day of adventure or returning late from exploring, you can refuel your vehicle at any time that suits your schedule. The gas station is fully self-service and accepts all major credit cards, making the process quick and easy.
Kitchen Amenities in Cabins
Enhance your mountain retreat with the added convenience of kitchen amenities, available in select cabins throughout KMC. If you enjoy preparing your own home-cooked meals or require extra flexibility for dietary preferences, we invite you to call our friendly front desk team ahead of time to inquire which cabins are equipped with full kitchen amenities. Additionally, we want to ensure every guest feels right at home, which is why all of our cabins are thoughtfully furnished with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot—making it easy to store your favorite snacks, heat up a quick bite, and brew a hot cup of coffee at any time during your stay.
Take advantage of our convenient on-site laundromat, designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Open daily from 6:00am to 7:00pm, our facility allows you to easily keep your clothes fresh and clean throughout your visit. For your convenience, we kindly ask that all laundry be completed (washed and dried) by 6:45pm to ensure everyone has ample time to finish their loads.
Laundry soap and other essentials are available for purchase from the machine dispenser located within the facility or at the General Store, so you never have to worry about bringing your own supplies.
Cozy Fireplaces in Every Unit
Experience the warmth and comfort of a personal fireplace in every unit, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure or creating a cozy atmosphere on cool evenings. Whether you’re unwinding with a good book, sharing stories with family, or simply enjoying the ambiance, your fireplace adds a special touch to your stay.
Firewood and fire logs are conveniently available for purchase at the KMC General Store, ensuring you have everything you need for a crackling fire whenever you wish. Make the most of your time at KMC with the inviting glow and comfort of your own fireplace.
Our Recreational Lodge, located adjacent to the post office, is currently undergoing renovations to enhance your future experience. While the lodge is temporarily closed for construction, we look forward to welcoming you back once improvements are complete.

Conveniently located on-site, the KMC Post Office offers essential mailing services to guests and visitors. Open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 1:00pm, the post office provides a reliable option for sending and receiving mail during your stay. While the service counter is closed on weekends, the lobby remains accessible 24 hours a day, allowing you to drop off mail or access your box at any time.
Mail collection occurs Monday through Friday at 1:00pm and Saturday at 8:45am, ensuring timely processing of your outgoing items. For your convenience, boxes, stamps, and envelopes are available for purchase at the post office. If you’d like to send a special note home, postcards can be purchased from the KMC General Store.
