KMC Services are back to normal, except for the Crater Rim Cafe and the Arcade.

The Park is open. The remaining storm and Park safety closures that remain include Mauna Loa Road beyond the gate at Kīpukapuaulu, Kīpukapuaulu Trail, the backcountry and the Kahuku Unit. 

 

KMC Facility Operations

  • Crater Rim Café: Already closed due to a previous weather event.
  • Lava Java: Both the Java Cafe and the Lava Lounge are open. Normal business hours.
  • KMC General Store and Gas Station: Open. Normal business hours.
  • Bowling Alley: Open. Normal business hours.
  • 10 Pin Grill: Open. Normal business hours.

Facility operations may change depending on power stability.
